This is Greg Poljacik, the founder of Fight Jam, with my long delayed first Blog post.
I started the Fight Jam ten months ago because there was a demand for a space and organized way to practice and learn new things in the art of stage combat. I also hoped, and still hope, to introduce people to this art in a safe, fun, and financially easy way.
So far so good.
Ten months is a long time for something to run purely off of donations and we will definitely hit the year mark.
I started this alone but with a lot of encouragement and ideas from whomever I talked to. Now Fight Jam has a full team. Judy is our advertising goddess, Adam is our text and Jam format god, and Dwight is our amazing god of fight facts.
Fight Jams are also starting to take root across the country. Cincinnati will be feeling out for interest and making a presence in March, Atlanta has a seed growing, and the ground is being tilled in Minnesota.
We have come a long way so far and I am excited about where we are going next.
