Motorcycle gloves.
Gloves are an important tool in our stage fighting kit. They keep our hands protected from an errant strike, improve grip when we are sweaty, and keep our body oils off the steel (our body oil accelerates rust).
The motorcycle gloves in the above picture are great for rehearsal, class, or training. The index and middle fingers are mesh to allow your hand to breathe. The palm is a durable leather, with a strong nylon mix for the rest of the fingers.
The added bonus is padding along the palm, knuckles, and tops of the fingers. This gives extra protection for the moments in rehearsal when a sword finds its way past your hilt.
