Nomex! That and a very special gel allowed me to be set on fire... and live!
Nomex was developed by DuPont and is used by firefighters, race car drivers, NASA, the military and any other profession that needs protection from high heat.
The Nomex fabrics are not fireproof, they are fire resistant. Any object will ignite at a certain temperature, by the time Nomex ignites, however, you will be soup.
I tip my cap to to the material that allowed me to fall in love with being up in flames!
